From shopify admin> Customizer> Central menu

You can select Blogs and in the sections panel select Main blog

Now you will see the section settings and you can customize the main blog appearance.

Section settings

You can enable or disable the main article shown as the featured article by checking the settings below,

You can set to paginate the articles by a desired number. If you choose 4, but one of them is a featured article, we will show 5, to respect the desired grid.

You can filter articles by tag. You can choose between not showing this filtering, use all tags as filters or exclude some tags mentioned below. If you want to limit the tags, add the ones that you don't want to appear here, separated by a comma. Example: tag1,tag2,tag3 and select the above option to "Exclude certain tags mentioned below"

For these filter buttons you can update the filter alignment, button types and filter style.

The section heading with the name of the blog can be customize with the settings below.

As per the article item

we added options for the image aspect ratio, content alignment on desktop and phone and options with what elements to be visible or not.

The layout of the section can be customized with the following settings:

You can have the section full width or not, you can have three articles in a row, or only two and on mobile, choose between two articles on a row or two articles on a row.

Finally, for this section, you can update the color scheme as well as the spacing.
